 We
are delighted to announce the provision of an indoor
Equine Remedial Massage facility here at Field Farm.
Equine Sports Remedial Massage plays an important
role in maintaining the efficiency, fitness and
wellbeing of both horse and rider. For the horse
remedial massage can facilitate performance and help
resolve issues due to injury. For the rider muscle
problems can be painful and ruin the enjoyment of
riding. These problems can be gently and effectively
resolved with sports massage. If your horse has
developed a problem that needs remedial massage then
Field Farm now has the facilities and a world
renowned expert to help your horse to perform better
and overcome injury, stiffness and a wide range of
problems.
 Gillian
Higgins of
Horses Inside Out runs the facility and is
the therapist your horse will be treated by. Gillian
is a Human and Equine Sports Remedial Therapist,
author of “How Your Horse Moves” and works with
horses here at Field Farm within the new Indoor
Therapy Centre. Field Farm provides suitable hard
standing for horses to be safely unloaded from horse
boxes and trailers adjacent to the therapy room.
Using an extensive therapy
toolbox, Gillian treats horses from all disciplines
for a wide variety of muscular skeletal problems.
Amongst some of her better known clients are Andrew
and Bettina Hoy and Ringwood Cockatoo.
Gillian regularly runs Equine
Massage, Pilates and Stretching and Anatomy and
Biomechanics day courses for horse owners.
In addition to massage and
manipulation, Gillian also offers muscular
assessments for horse and rider.
 Following
either assessment or therapy, Gillian will give an
individual programme of relevant exercises. Riders
are treated in Gillian’s human massage room in
Bunny.
All equine work is carried out
within the terms and conditions of the Veterinary
Act.
