Field Farm Cross Country

Field Farm is the home of Jo and Fergus Shields situated in the heart of Quorn Hunting country amongst the beautiful wolds villages of South Nottinghamshire and North Leicestershire. Field Farm is primarily an organic beef farm having just gained organic status and has 50 head of pedigree Beef Shorthorn Cattle.

Since moving to Field Farm in 2003 Jo and Fergus have created a cross country schooling course which is available for hire and a small competition livery yard.

Jo originally trained at the well known Waterstock House Training Centre in 1991 under the tutelage of Lars Sederholm and Yogi Breisner.

Jo currently events a number of horses and has also competed at Advanced Medium level dressage. She is a registered BHSII SE SM and hopes to complete the final phase of her BHSI in the near future amidst having some exciting new young prospects to compete for the 2012 season.

Jo offers tuition in all 3 disciplines and can also offer training towards BHS exams. In addition, she runs regular cross country and grid clinics. Jo also takes horses in for holiday and/or schooling livery.

Accommodation and stabling can be provided for those wishing to come to Field Farm for intensive training towards either exams or competitions. For details of all the latest clinics, news etc please visit our news page!
